MOU system to be overhauled: Government to benchmark performance parameters with international peers

The government plans to hire international consultants for a benchmarking efficiency parameters in the mid-stream and downstream oil and gas sector.
8The idea seems to be to incorporate update and incorporate these parameters in the MOUs signed by the government with the oil companies. 
8The parameters will be set high, and the PSUs will be graded in terms of their ability to achieve these targets. 
8The objective of the RFP is to solicit proposals from interested agencies, companies or institutes for conducting the study in the midstream and downstream oil and gas sector and subsequently recommend appropriate benchmarks for inclusion in the MoU 2016-17.
8It mainly involves identification of national and international benchmarks to improve the productivity, profitability, operational efficiency and also the future growth prospects of the sector.
